F visa application process

Application Process

1. Log in China Online Visa Application (COVA) website: https://cova.mfa.gov.cn and choose the location of visa application;
2. According to the requirements, fill in the required information and upload the invitation letter;
3. Generate COVA visa application form online, download and print it;
4. Make an appointment of visa interview online and bring the required documents to the consulate.

Required documents for on-site processing

1. Valid passport;
2. Copy of personal information page of passport;
3. Recent headshot photo with white background and hatless;
4. Invitation letter issued by the relevant organization or individual in China;
5. COVA visa application form generated online.

Note

1. Remaining validity of passport must be more than 6 months, and there must be more than 2 blank visa pages;
2. Be sure to remember the application number when filling out the online form so that you can continue to fill out the form after the interruption;
3. If it is a visa from U.S. nationals to enter China, you also need to fill out and bring Where You Stay Form
