Aims and Scope

The Cambridge Journal for Junior Scientists (CJJS) is dedicated to providing a dynamic platform for high school students to showcase their research, creativity, and analytical skills across a wide range of academic disciplines. CJJS welcomes submissions from high school students on a broad array of subjects. We seek original research articles, review papers, essays, creative works, and multimedia projects that demonstrate scholarly rigor, creativity, and a deep engagement with the chosen topic.

Editor in Chief

Bong H. Lian (SIMIS and Brandeis University)

Vice President of Shanghai Institute for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SIMIS). Before joining SIMIS, he has been a professor at Brandeis University in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1991, he received his PhD in physics from Yale University. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, Yale University, and Harvard University. He joined the Mathematics Department at Brandeis in 1995. Professor Lian's research is at the intersection of mathematics and physics, and he is interested in questions about deformations of Calabi-Yau manifolds. His research interests also include representation theory and string theory. In 2014, along with Professor Shing-Tung Yau, Lian cofounded the Yau Mathcamp and has served as its Director since its founding. Professor Lian will be teaching Linear Algebra I and II at this Mathcamp.

It is required to submit the manuscript in English.
What are the authoring template/instructions?
We recommend using the AMS format or our CJJS format for authoring. If you are unable to write in LaTeX, you may use Word instead.
Is there a submission deadline, or if submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, is the review time specified? How long does it take to publish?
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. The review process typically takes about 2-3 months, and online publication is completed within 4-6 months if revisions are required.
Will there be an email notification about the approval status? Or is there a process where reviewers provide feedback for revisions before publication?
An email notification will be sent regarding the approval status along with the review report.
